I remember Barbara Behm and her mother picking me up, particularly if it was raining, while I was
walking up Sylvester Road to Highline H.S. early in the morning. I was so grateful to her and her mom for rescuing me from a long cold wet walk those mornings. Barbara was that beautiful young girl, that I admired from afar. I only knew her as my rescuer, and for all the successes she had at Highline as a great scholar, I was not, and other honors she earn through our 3 years.
