Marion Knighton (Whiteman)

I met Bev when she moved into my neighborhood in the 5th grade. We took to each other right away and have been close friends since 5th grade at Mt. View Elementary. We spent time going to Coy's White Center to watch movies, sunbathe at Seola Beach, hanging out and laughing a lot.  On  to Puget Sound and Highline, and we became a group of 10 dear friends:  Peggy Hauser, Geri Dudder. Judi Linde, Susie McCourt, The Marrone Twins, Diane Thomas, Judy Solschied, Bev and myself.  Let the party begin!!!   Going to football games, dances, downtown at the holidays, slumber parties for drill, beaches in the summer. progressive dinners at our parents home. etc. etc. After high school, college for some, then weddings, baby showers, still would meet a couple times a year for the holidays and in the summer.  As life moved on, there for each other through divorces, deaths of parents, siblings, husbands, children, group members, health issues with compassion for one another.  Since 2000. we are back to slumber parties at destinations in EA., WA, Oregon Coast, Hood Canal. Whidbey Is., Bellingham, Edmonds , Orcas Island, and more for our "Girls Getaway" in the summer.

Bev was all on board to these activities.  She brought games to play, Dirty Martinis to drink,  gifts for all and , of course pictures she took.  She was smart as a whip, fun. clever, generous, caring, loyal, beautiful..inside and out,  and she  had our backs.

! will miss you, but you will be in my  heart and mind forever, Bev!  You are loved by so many....thanks for making life better!

Peggy Houser (Sanger)

Bev has been a part of my life since highschool.  We crashed her wedding night at a motel along Highway 99,  She was instrumental in our annual get togethers.  She lived on the east coast so one year when she was visiting, she contacted Judi Lindi and said to plan a get togerther.  That was the start of the GG's (Golden Girls).  There was about 15 of us at the beginning, but today it is just 5 after Bev's passing.  Geri Falcone Dudder, Marion Knighton Whiteman, Susie McCourt, Judi Linde Downing, and myself Peggy Houser Sanger.  We got together for lunches, dinners & anneual get aways.and of course Class Reunions over the past 68 years.  Bev will be missed, she was always ready to have a good time.

I remember Bev as one of the most friendly, likable young ladies during my school years. My condolences to her family and friends
So sorry I didn't attend the 68th reunion to see her one more time.
