Fred was sure a great friend. He got out of the Navy after working on nuclear powered subs and went on to run the power plant off of I-5 as the head guy. His navy training sure paid off. We had a lot of fun together.
Fred and his mom and sister and brother were neighbors. Fred and I were in the scouts together for a number of years. Fred had a car ( Pontiac ) when we were in Highschool so I rode with him from White Center to Highline most of our last two years there.
Fred bought a 35 Chevy coupe that we drove and both worked on.
Fred worked his butt off doing landscape work in the summers to make money to go to UW. He joined the NROTC at the UW and then became a salior on a Nuclear sub. He married Mollie Miller and my wife Jeannette Hollingsworth and I were at their wedding.
Fred was a very good friend and it saddens me to think that he is gone.Fred maybe we can go for a ride in your Pontiac again.
